ASU Starts Slow but Finishes Strong against Oregon State

Tempe, Ariz.—February 11, 2010. It took the Arizona State Sun Devils 16 minutes to score their first 13 points. It only took four minutes to score the next 13 as Arizona State finally took control and beat back the visiting Oregon State Beavers 56-46 at Wells Fargo Arena.

The Sun Devils' Derek Glasser led all scorers with 16 points. Teammate Jerren Shipp scored 11 points and Ty Abbott had nine points. Eric Boateng and Abbott both grabbed nine rebounds. Glasser, the ASU all-time assist leader, handed out four more tonight.

Oregon State’s Calvin Haynes led his team with 15 points, followed by Seth Tarver’s nine points and Roeland Schafternaar’s eight points and. Omari Johnson grabbed 10 rebounds, followed by Tarver’s eight boards.

ASU runs their record to 17-8; 7-5.  Oregon State runs their record to 10-13; 4-7.
